ROCK TEEN MINISTRY VOLUNTEER

Ministry Description

Welcome to R.O.C.K. where we are Representatives of Christ’s Kingdom for all our teens at The Brook. Our volunteers have a willing, sincere, and compassionate heart to serve our middle and high school students. We are patient, consistent, and willing to deposit into the lives of our young people. If you’re ready to impact the next generation of leaders at The Brook, then the R.O.C.K. Teen ministry is for you. Come R.O.C.K. with us!

This volunteer position does require a criminal background check.

  • Spiritual Gifts – Shepherding, teaching, exhortation
  • Talents/Abilities – Able to communicate well with teens; knowledge of God’s word; good role model; no criminal record
  • Best Personality Trait – Dependable, compassionate
  • Passions – Nurturing, teaching and leading teens to Jesus and a Christian lifestyle.
  • Length of Service Commitment – One year minimum
  • Anticipated Time Commitments
    • Doing ministry/preparing for ministry: Three hours a week
    • Participating in meetings/training: One hour a month or as requested
  • Responsibilities/Duties
    • Participate in training opportunities and teacher meetings.
    • Work with Youth Pastor/director or ministry lead to choose curriculum for your class.
    • Study and prepare for each weekly lesson. Gather necessary materials: handouts, props, supplies, etc.
    • Pray for class members and visitors.
