Whether online or in the building, Production Media is pivotal team behind The Brook's worship experience. From directors, camera persons, sound technicians or screen operators, the objective of the media ministry is to use digital and electronic technology to carry the Gospel in visually-appealing and innovative ways.

Ministry Descriptions

ProPresenter Operator

Song, lyrics, and scriptures! As a ProPresenter Operator you will always save the day when the worship leader forgets the lyrics or when Sister Mary forgets her bible. You are not just a “button pusher” but a Worship Leader, an invaluable part of any service or event. 

  • Spiritual Gifts – Serving
  • Talents/Abilities – Mac/computer-literate, Familiar with the Bible
  • Best Personality Trait – Consistent, Dependable, Attentive
  • Passions – Worship Experience
  • Length of Service Commitment – Two years minimum
  • Anticipated Time Commitments
    • Doing ministry/preparing for ministry: Three to four hours a week
    • Participating in meetings/training: One hour a quarter or as requested
  • Responsibilities/Duties
    • Arrive prior to worship services to double-check and set up equipment as needed: computers, monitors, etc.
    • Operate equipment during all services and special events held in the church/sanctuary/auditorium.
    • Report equipment replacement needs or recommendations to the media director.

Camera Operator

Every moment of worship depends on you! As a camera operator, your ability to frame and compose camera shots accurately serves as a valuable asset to The Brook’s worship experience. Thousands of people depend on you to provide clear angels of service as you receive directions from the producer. This role requires a level of passion as you will often be the first person to arrive and last to leave.

  • Spiritual Gifts – Serving
  • Talents/Abilities – Experience in photography or videography; Good eyesight; Detail-oriented; Be able to stand, kneel, squat as required
  • Best Personality Trait – Pleasant, Professional, Creative Thinker, Self-Starter
  • Passions – Capturing unique & special worship moments/shots
  • Length of Service Commitment – Two years minimum
  • Anticipated Time Commitments
    • Doing ministry/preparing for ministry: One hour a week; possibly more during special events
    • Participating in meetings/training: Minimal, as requested
  • Responsibilities/Duties
    • Arrive prior to worship services to double-check and set up equipment as needed.
    • Operate equipment during all services and special events held in the church/sanctuary/auditorium.
    • Receive and execute shot direction from the producer and creative director.
    • Report equipment replacement or maintenance needs or recommendations to the media director.

Photographer

 We capture moments! With the use of a DSLR digital camera, it’s your responsibility to capture those impactful moments of worship, volunteers serving and people during all phases of the worship experience! Serving as a photographer is a key role as it tells the stories of church-wide events through photos. This role requires a level of passion as you will often be the first person to arrive and last to leave.

  • Talents/Abilities – Experience in photography; Good eyesight; Detail-oriented; Be able to stand, kneel, squat as required
  • Best Personality Trait – Pleasant, Professional, Creative Thinker, Self-Starter
  • Passions – Capturing unique & special moments, Creating photographic memories
  • Length of Service Commitment – Two years minimum
  • Anticipated Time Commitments
    • Doing ministry/preparing for ministry: One hour a week; possibly more during special events
    • Participating in meetings/training: Minimal, as requested
  • Responsibilities/Duties
    • Take snapshots of new members, baby dedications and baptisms.
    • Take photos for church wide and internet publications.
    • Take photos at special church events.
    • Provide photos to the social media ministry coordinator.
