Seasons Part 2 – March 19, 2025
Every Season Prepares You for the Next
Key Scripture: Romans 8:28 – “And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are called according to His purpose.”
- Nothing in your life is wasted—God uses every experience to shape you for what’s ahead.
- We have to trust that God is equipping you today for what He has planned for you tomorrow.
Power Point: “What feels like a setback is often a setup for what’s next.”
Growth Demands a Shift in Identity
Key Scripture: 2 Corinthians 5:17 – “Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new.”
- As you grow, your identity must shift to match what God is doing in you.
- Abram had to become Abraham, a father of nations (Genesis 17:5). Simon had to become Peter, the rock on which the church was built (Matthew 16:18).
- Some relationships, habits, and mindsets from past seasons won’t serve you in your next.
Power Point: “Who you were can’t hold who you’re becoming.”
Growth Creates New Challenges
Acts 6:1 (NKJV) 1Now in those days, when the number of the disciples was multiplying, there arose a complaint against the Hebrews by the Hellenists, because their widows were neglected in the daily distribution.
- Ignoring the need for change doesn’t stop growth; it stunts it.
Power Point: Expansion is a sign of health. But ignoring needed changes will stunt your growth
