Priorities: We Need to Talk

In this powerful continuation of the Priorities series, Bishop Moultrie challenges us to examine a critical question: Have we become so focused on doing the work that we’ve lost our love for God?
Healthy relationships require honest conversations, and our relationship with God is no different. Sometimes clarity comes through confronting difficult truths. We can remain faithful, serve consistently, and continue doing the work while slowly drifting away from the intimacy with God that once fueled us.
Bishop Moultrie reminds us: Don’t stop doing the work, but don’t lose your love in the work. What happens when serving becomes a responsibility instead of a response to our love for God? What happens when spiritual disciplines that were once non-negotiable become optional? God is calling us to examine our priorities and recognize where the work may have replaced our relationship with Him.
The path back is simple but powerful: Remember. Repent. Return.
Remember where you fell. Repent by changing the way you think. Return to the devotion, discipline, and love you once had for God. Everything in our lives needs Jesus, and without Him, everything eventually falls apart.
Matthew 11:12 reminds us that the Kingdom is worth pursuing with passion. It’s time for the Church to reposition itself and create an environment where people don’t simply know about God they passionately press after Him.
God wants us to love Him again.
