A Message from Our Lead Pastor
Dear Brook Family,
As we approach the dawn of a new year, I am filled with great anticipation for what God is preparing to do in and through our lives. In alignment with our current sermon series, "The Blessing," I invite you to join us for Consecration 2025 — a sacred time of prayer, fasting, and seeking God’s face.
Genesis 1:28 reminds us of God’s original intent for humanity: "Be fruitful and multiply; fill the earth and subdue it; have dominion..." This consecration is an opportunity to position ourselves to live out this divine mandate. It is a time to draw closer to God, listen intently, and align our lives with His purpose.
I encourage you to fully engage during this season. Set aside intentional time for prayer, fasting, and studying God’s Word. Journal what you hear from the Lord and reflect on how He is leading you. There is power in seeking God collectively as a church family, believing that He will reveal His plans and strengthen what He has placed within us.
If we ever needed the Lord before, we surely need Him now. In a world filled with uncertainty, our trust remains in the One who never fails. What God has placed inside of you was built to last — His promises are sure, His Word is unshakable, and His plans for you are good.
Let us approach this consecration with expectation and faith, knowing that God will meet us in a powerful way.
With grace and gratitude,
~ Bishop Simeon Moultrie
Consecration Guidelines
Consecration is the time and process devoted to set apart anything to the worship or service of God. We are taking the first month of this year to hear from God about His direction for our lives so that we can move forward with clarity. We want to posture ourselves to get closer to God by taking this time to pull away from the noise and to lock in on the things that He wants us to do in life.
Click here to listen to the Set Apart series for more on consecration.
Limit use of the internet, social media, movies, television, cellphones and recreation during the consecration. This does not mean you can’t use the preceding for needful or spiritual things. Please use wisdom. Spend your time praying or reading your Bible or other Christian books. Spend a minimum of 15 minutes of prayer & personal devotion individually or as a family. Listen to gospel music only.
Fasting is defined as abstaining from food, or to restrict oneself to a meager diet, either as a religious observance or as a ceremonial expression of grief; to go without food; also (contextually) to go without drink; to pass (time) fasting; to keep or observe (a day, etc.) as a time of abstinence.
No food consumption until after 1pm Monday-Saturday. We will not fast on Sundays.
This fast is not designed to cause you any physical, emotional or mental harm; so it is extremely important to follow your doctor’s orders/instructions. Please consult with your physician to clarify what you are able to do/level of participation, particularly if you are on medication or have existing health conditions.
As a ministry, let’s pray and stand together on the following throughout 2025:
- 300 Souls Saved & Water Baptisms
- Renewed Thirst for Spiritual Maturity & The Things of God
- Expansion Project
